Plain-Language Primer
A lab pack is a method for safely shipping small quantities of laboratory chemicals for disposal. Individual containers — bottles, jugs, cans — are segregated by hazard class, cushioned with absorbent, and packed into UN-rated overpacks (usually a 55-gallon drum). The overpacks are then manifested to a TSDF permitted to accept that hazard profile.
Why does this matter? Because small-quantity chemicals that would be prohibitively expensive to profile and ship individually can be consolidated into a single manifested drum. Done wrong, lab packs cause rejected loads and incompatibility incidents. Done right, they're the most efficient disposal route for mixed laboratory waste.

Chemist On-Site
- Walk-Through & InventoryOur chemist catalogs every container. Labels checked against contents. Unknowns flagged and documented.
- Hazard IdentificationEach item assigned to a DOT hazard class and RCRA waste code based on SDS data, process knowledge, or field testing.
- SegregationContainers grouped by compatibility class per DOT segregation tables. Incompatibles never packed together.
- Packaging & LabelingAbsorbent applied, overpacks loaded, DOT-compliant labels and markings applied.
- Manifest PreparationWaste codes, EPA IDs, and quantities transcribed to a Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest. You sign; we handle the rest.
- Transport & DisposalDirect-to-TSDF routing with signed copies returned to your compliance file.
Relocating a Lab?
Moving a lab is one of the few times every chemical on every shelf gets scrutinized. It's also one of the worst times to take non-compliant inventory with you to a new address. We coordinate pre-move cleanouts: we survey, pack, manifest, and remove — so your move reveals a clean slate.
Typical engagement: pre-move consultation, scheduled on-site lab pack event, transport within 7–14 days, all disposal documentation delivered before your go-live at the new facility.
